Fun things to do while you are there: Kayak on Lake Superior and see the amazing sea caves Visit the beautiful Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Take a boat trip out to see the islands Hike to see the local waterfalls (need handout map) Join in the fly-out and see the beautiful Lake Superior Shoreline from the air Fly over to Duluth for a Cirrus factory tour Event RSVP Due to the fantastic early interest in this event and the field’s ability to accommodate only 20 airplanes, we are requiring advance registration. Lodging: Camp under your wing at the airfield, on Lake Superior at Siskiwit Bay Marina campsites or stay at one of the lodging options listed on our website. Primitive camping under your wing is available at the air.eld. Amenities will include a porta-potty, picnic tables, and a .re pit. Showers are available at Siskiwit Bay Marina for $5.   • Outdoor Concert Series

    The Cornucopia Business Association brings you the Summer Concert Series! An Outdoor Concert Series will take place every Thursday evening from 6-9 pm from July 4th through August 29th on the grounds of the Cornucopia Sweet Shop. (The Community Center will be bad weather back-up). This is a family focused event so bring Grandma and the kids, some chairs and a picnic if you wish and get ready to enjoy some local music. All of the bands will be local or be locally connected. After a busy day come and relax and enjoy the summer evenings.     CORNUCOPIA ART CRAWL Held on the2nd Saturday of September each year, The Cornucopia Artcrawl features Local artists and students and visiting artists sharing their work in beautiful Cornucopia on the sunny south shore of Lake Superior. I attended workshops with Tony Van Hasselt AWS, Sterling Edwards AWS and Bridgit Austin, all nationally known watercolor artists, and with Diana Randolph a teacher in the WITC district.  Now retired from a real estate sales career I am still semi-retired from busy active community involvements that do not allow me as much time as I would like for painting.  I feel I am still very much in a learning stage, but hope to start spending more time with brush in hand over the next months.
