ATV Trails Open

Washburn, WI (April 28, 2015) – Bayfield County ATV/UTV trails will officially open Friday, May 1, 2015.  The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest trails will also open on May 1, rescinding the closure order from March.

Trail conditions are variable and in early spring condition, so please tread lightly and report any downed trees or other issues as soon as possible to the Bayfield County Forestry Department at (715) 373-6114.

As always, riders should use caution when out on the trails.  Please stay on the designated trails and routes and follow the trail signs. Be aware that there may be grooming equipment on the trails.

A quaint village that is the Western Gateway to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on the South Shore of Lake Superior.
