Lake Superior Magazine votes Cornucopia best beachHome of the Apostle Islands Ice Caves!

Access to the ice caves will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 pm due to a winter weather advisory and impending storm.

High winds and blowing snow are predicted beginning Tuesday afternoon and extending into Wednesday.  Ice conditions will be checked as soon as possible following the storm.  If conditions permit, the ice caves will be reopened.  The earliest the ice caves would reopen is sometime on Thursday, March 5.

Please check Facebook (www.facebook.com/apostleislandsnationallakeshore) and the park’s ice line (715-779-3397, ext. 3) for the latest information.
